Terms of Service
Effective August 6, 2026
These Terms govern access to and use of the Dolottle Discord application, website, and dashboard. By installing, authorizing, or using Dolottle, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and authority
You must be permitted to use Discord and capable of agreeing to these Terms. If you add, configure, or manage Dolottle for a Discord server, you represent that you have authority to act for that server, provide the information you submit, and grant the permissions you select.
2. The service
Dolottle provides server-scoped Discord operations, configuration, authorization, accountability, messaging, role workflows, moderation tools, tickets, logging, automation, levels, suggestions, feeds, and other optional modules. Available features may be experimental, limited to eligible servers, or changed as the service develops. Dolottle may refuse, suspend, or revoke an installation that is unsafe, unauthorized, or violates these Terms.
3. Accounts, authorization, and server responsibilities
Dashboard access uses Discord OAuth. You are responsible for protecting your Discord account and for activity performed through your authorized session. You must not share or attempt to obtain credentials, tokens, or access belonging to another person. Dolottle may verify server membership, permissions, role hierarchy, and configuration whenever you use a server-specific feature.
Server managers are responsible for reviewing requested bot permissions, placing Dolottle's role appropriately, configuring roles and channels safely, deciding which workflows are suitable for their community, and notifying members or obtaining consent where required. Dolottle may fail closed when permissions, authority, or configuration cannot be verified.
4. Your content and configuration
You retain your rights in content and configuration you provide. You grant Dolottle a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, format, and transmit that material only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the features you request. You represent that you have the rights and authority needed to provide that material and to direct Dolottle to process it.
If you enable ticket transcripts, you direct Dolottle to preserve the ticket content selected by your transcript settings and make it available only to authorized server managers. You are responsible for choosing an appropriate retention period, informing server members when required, and downloading or deleting material according to your community's policies and applicable law.
If you publish a Levels and XP leaderboard, configure message or activity logging, use Sticky Roles, collect ticket intake answers, or accept moderation appeals, you are responsible for deciding whether those workflows are appropriate for your community and providing any notices, access controls, retention choices, or consent required by law or your own policies.
The birthday feature is optional and is not an identity or legal-age verification service. Members control whether they provide only month and day or opt in to a full date. Server managers remain responsible for whether birthday announcements or age-based role policies are appropriate, lawful, and accurately configured for their community.
5. Moderation, roles, and automated actions
Dolottle can carry out actions configured by authorized server managers, including assigning or removing roles, creating or editing messages and threads, recording moderation cases, muting or banning members, changing nicknames, locking channels or a server, deleting messages that do not meet configured content rules, and enforcing reaction-role, approval, ticket, raid-protection, or automated-moderation workflows. Server managers remain responsible for their policies, configuration, and decisions. Dolottle is not a substitute for human judgment, emergency services, legal advice, or Discord's own safety and moderation systems.
A server may provide a Dolottle moderation-appeal link to the member named in a case. Dolottle verifies the signed-in Discord account and presents the appeal to that server's authorized staff. Dolottle does not independently decide appeals; the server remains responsible for the decision and any resulting moderation action.
Subscriber and Server Booster benefits are optional server rewards. Dolottle does not sell Discord subscriptions or boosts, process those payments, or guarantee continued eligibility. Discord's authoritative eligibility and server capabilities control whether a benefit can be provided or retained.
Voting for Dolottle is optional and depends on Top.gg availability. Verified votes may grant the documented fixed currency reward in mutual servers where currency is enabled. Dolottle does not guarantee listing placement, voting availability, provider operation, or rewards for unverifiable or duplicate events.
Some moderation and automation actions are durable. Temporary bans and mutes may be scheduled for later removal, Sticky Roles may restore eligible roles when a member returns, and unlockdown may restore saved permission states. You are responsible for reviewing active configuration before manually changing the same Discord roles, permissions, or resources.
6. Acceptable use
Dolottle currency and game balances are server-local virtual records with no cash value. They are not money, stored value, prizes, or a promise of redemption. Server managers control their server's currency settings and may auditably adjust balances. Currency must not be sold, wagered for real-world value, or used to facilitate unlawful gambling or other prohibited transactions.
You may not use Dolottle to:
- violate applicable law, Discord's terms or policies, or another person's rights;
- harass, exploit, deceive, discriminate against, or harm users;
- bypass Discord permissions, safety controls, rate limits, or user choices;
- gain unauthorized access to accounts, servers, data, or systems;
- distribute malware, spam, or disruptive automated activity;
- probe, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service except as allowed by law;
- use Dolottle to process information or content you lack authority to provide;
- use Discord API data to train artificial-intelligence models; or
- misrepresent your identity, authority, or relationship with Dolottle.
7. Discord and third-party services
Dolottle depends on Discord and third-party infrastructure. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. Dolottle is an independent service and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Discord Inc. Discord may change or restrict its platform in ways that affect Dolottle.
8. Availability and changes
Dolottle aims to operate dependably, but does not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Features may be modified, suspended, limited, or discontinued for maintenance, security, legal, platform, capacity, or product reasons. Where practical, Dolottle will try to provide notice of material changes affecting installed servers.
9. Intellectual property and feedback
Dolottle and its branding, software, and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. If you provide feedback, you permit Dolottle to use it without restriction or compensation, while you retain ownership of any rights you already hold in that feedback.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Dolottle, revoke its OAuth access, or remove it from a server at any time. Dolottle may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a Terms or policy violation, security risk, legal requirement, unauthorized installation, platform restriction, or threat to users or the service. Data handling after termination is described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dolottle is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. Dolottle does not warrant that the service will always be available, secure, accurate, or suitable for a particular purpose, or that a Discord action will succeed when platform permissions or capabilities prevent it.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dolottle and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, revenue, profits, goodwill, opportunities, roles, messages, or server access arising from or related to the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Changes to these Terms
Dolottle may update these Terms as the service changes. The effective date will be revised when updates are published. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
